I Found it!!!

Ok So I finally found an old steamer trunk....I am in love with old trunks, but had yet to find one that a. was in my price range..( cheap) and b. that was in decent condition! While searching Craigslist for a couch I stumbled upon this beauty!!! Now I have no idea how I ended up looking under Antiques when clearly couches would be found under furniture!! Oh well!!

 Not only was this beauty seriously in my price range it was in Lompoc, in the words of my friend Sheri "double bubble"!!!

So I swooped it up, even though I had to call my strapping youngest son to come and load it in my car for me...a oversight on my part, the trunk is......well huge & weighs probably 1,0000lbs.....ok 65, but I couldn't budge it!

So we pushed & pulled, ok Alec pushed & pulled! And managed to get this old gal home, the trunk not me! And well.....I love it, but it's much to big for our house...I pushed that thing all over my living room looking for a good home for it and pretty much everywhere I tried it just didn't look good. I think I heard Tom refer to it as monstrosity.....*hrumph*

So for now it's in our spare room, filled with fabric & dreams of things I hope to make one day...one day!!!

Have you found any great bargains on Craigslist? I think it may be my new addiction!!
