Getting Closer!

       In an effort to recall this week I thought I'd just "journal" out the comings and goings of our week! Today at staff meeting (of all places!) I learned Tom will, after all, be doing a small part of the ceremony!! He hadn't told me, Chuck mentioned it....., mind you I wasn't mad, my skin is a bit thicker than that, but I did wonder just how on earth he had failed to mention this small detail! I could just see myself grabbing his arm as he stood up to go to the front, wondering if he'd lost his mind...or had an objection!!! It turns out he was just going to surprise me with this.....glad I know now! I am not looking forward to any surprises on this day, I will have enough on my mind without him standing up and going to the front and me grabbing him by the arm....and well you can just picture the rest!!! It would have been quite funny!So now I know, the cat is out of the bag! 
     Today was haircut day for both Alec and I, Joel's suit is at the cleaners being cleaned and pressed after the Tailor finished altering it! I called and made sure all is good to go at the restaurant we will be hosting the Rehearsal dinner at!  Then came home and began the chore of doing laundry and pulling out our luggage, did I mention that Tom and I leave the day after the wedding for Jr. High Summer Camp?, yes, well....that is my life!!! So anyway I began packing things I won't be needing for the wedding day, bug spray, shorts, t-shirts and the like! Whew! These next few days are going to pass us in a flash! But it's all pretty fun! I am not overwhelmed, just have a very full plate and need to keep track of my time!!
     I have been trying to stay focused on the Grace of God, and how He has blessed us with a son who loves Him, and now a daughter-in-love to be who not only loves Him, but desires to be in ministry in whatever capacity He calls them too!! Things I am sad to say I don't recall specifically praying for, and yet in His grace and mercy He has blessed us with more than I would have ever even asked for, SO much more, He is good like that! So I am excited to see what lays ahead for the two of them!
That is what has been on my mind today, as I've ran from one end of town to the other!!What's on your mind today!??
